Joe Beatty, owner and founder of Dark Heart Tattoo has been a mainstay of tattooing in Northern Illinois since the early 2000’s. After opening the original Dark Heart location in 2013, Joe expanded by opening Dark Heart Chicago in 2019.

With over 20 years of experience, this versatile artist specializes in neo-traditional, color, black and grey realism, portraits, American & Japanese traditional, and color realism. Nothing is out of his realm of expertise. Joe has been passionately drawing and painting since the age of 12 and is more than qualified to design and apply your perfect tattoo!
